Hi my name is Nelson and I live in New York City. I am a student in high school, and it’s not a very easy place. I go to Stuyvesant High School, and perhaps you’ve heard of it, perhaps you haven’t. It’s the 20th best high school in the United States, and it is the top in New York City. Because of that, the teachers like to push a lot of work on you and say that you are a “top student” and should be able to handle it. 

Despite that, the school is filled with loonies who never do their work and cheat to pass. Unfortunately, that’s the way things are, and no matter what ranking this school is, that is highly unlikely to change.

I am interested in a lot of things, but mostly technology related. I am working on my own projects in photoshop, and I personally love editing photos in Aperture–it is such an intuitive program, unlike Photoshop. And soon, I will also do some work in Final Cut Express, but I am saving for a good camcorder. 

I will write about technology things, and things that are just interesting in general. I used to play a game called Maplestory, but that is something of the past, and I doubt I will make anymore posts about it. 

I own a MacBook Pro (2.2GHz, Santa Rosa, 128MB of vRAM w/Nvidia Geforce 8600M GT, 120GB HDD), and I love making excellent looking projects that just laugh at my classmates (who challenged me with a PowerPoint presentation that looked like it was from the 1900s). Keynote is my favourite program for presentations, but it’s not as universally compatible, which does nothing but irritate me. However, it’s for that reason and many others that laptops are portable and can be hooked to a projector.

If you like my perspective and views/ideas about something, your welcome to read this blog and post comments and do whatever you want. If not, then oh well. I don’t get a lot of viewers, but that’s not necessary for me because this is just a place to write down my ideas and share them. 

I’m a big Apple fan, and Mac OS X is the best operating system out there. If your using a PC, then get a mac! You will not regret it. The MacBook and iMac are, so far, the best Macs that a consumer can buy. The Mac Mini has almost no value compared to the iMac, and the MacBook is an excellent combination of power and portability.
